Had my first practical lesson on 6 Sep 2017. On the way over, I was filled with nervousness. At the back of my mind, I was half expecting myself to damage the car.
As I didn't want to be late for my first practical lesson, I arrived 40 minutes earlier. The time slot that I've attended was at 9:10pm, the very last time slot.
When I was there, I tried scanning my NRIC at the machine to retrieve my training car details, but nothing happened. It was then I realise the note on the machine saying that I can only scan 30 minutes before my lesson start. While waiting for time to pass, the nervousness inside my grew stronger. It was comparable to how I felt when I was on the way to Tekong for my NS enlistment.
About 10 minutes before my lesson start, I made my way to this waiting area outside.

By then, many has already gathered there. Not knowing what to do, I just stood like like everyone else. It was then, at 9:10pm, the school bell rang and everyone started approaching the car that they were assigned to.

What happened during my first lesson:
- Going through a checklist of car components to check. This is to ensure that the car is in optimal health.
- Adjustment of seats, steering wheel, rear and side mirrors.
- Using the handbrake and starting the car
- Forward and reverse
- Gradual and sharp turnings
Note: All these were done in the circuit itself on an automatic car. What I went through may/may not be exactly what you will go through.
At the end of it, I felt more confident behind the wheel. And I definitely need to brush up on my sharp turns.
Completed Stages: 1.01, 1.02 (1.11 is the review sub-stage to move on the Stage 2)
